HISTORY OF THE SFST'S . . .
This session is intended to give the practitioners of the Standardized Field Sobriety Test the history and background behind the three common field tests officers currently use. The information is based on the initial validation studies conducted by Southern California Research Institute- Burns and Moskowitz. The presentation will also discuss the 1997 Validation Study Conducted by Burns that validated the field sobriety tests for levels below .08 BAC.
