MARILYN RODGERS BIOGRAPHY

Marilyn Rodgers is an Internationally Certified Prevention Specialist with the Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities – Substance Abuse Prevention Program.  She serves as the Director for the Kentucky Prevention Enhancement Site System.  She also serves as the Director of the Kentucky Early Intervention Program and the Kentucky Substance Abuse Prevention Academy as well as the state liaison for the Kentucky Youth Empowerment System.  She is also a Master Trainer for the Kentucky Strategic Prevention Framework.

She has a twenty-one year career in Prevention with twelve years in substance abuse prevention.  Prior to coming to the Division, Marilyn worked for seven years at the community level providing training and consultation to community coalitions and policy boards focusing on substance abuse prevention and policy development.

She holds a Masters Degree in Family Studies from the University of Kentucky as well as a Bachelor’s in Communications.
