COMMUNITY BASED PARTY PATROLS . . .Community Based Party Patrols....Cops, Prosecutors and Coalitions Working Together to Reduce Community Alcohol Problems
This session will cover how to pre-plan, conduct, follow up and have successful prosecution for community based party patrols. Boise City Assistant Attorney Terry Derden and Officer Jermaine Galloway from Boise PD will show how pro-active collaborations, unique party patrol tactics, creation of party related codes, community partnerships and their role in party patrols along with the partnerships between Police and Prosecutors has helped the city of Boise reduce its party related problems up to 70% over the last five years.
In this presentation, Galloway and Derden will discuss the search and seizure issues that police and Alcohol Enforcement Officers need to know when detecting, investigating, apprehending and prosecuting alcohol violations, including search warrant applications for entry as well as other alternatives to entering the premises.
