KIDS ALCOHOL & DRUG FREE
Research shows most drug and alcohol addiction in America begins in adolescence and can be prevented by parents who are skilled in Bonding, setting Boundaries, and in Monitoring Kids’ Activities. The best program to teach those skills is the Strengthening Families Program Group Classes which parents and kids attend together. Now, those same research proven skills have been put into an entertaining DVD series for parents and kids to watch together in their own homes. This workshop will present evidence on the youth addiction and the proven skills to prevent it. In addition, we will show previews of the Strengthening Families Program Home Use DVD and make it available at minimal cost to participants. (The first ten people in class will get if for free – others can pay $4 for the 2 series DVD set and Guidebook.) It can be used by police departments to give to hand-wringing parents, court ordered by Judges, used by Churches, PTAs and schools, and by any organization who wants to help kids stay drug and alcohol free.
