Special Agent in Charge Joseph L. Cannon is employed with the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control and assigned to the Compliance, Education and Training Division for the Bureau of Law Enforcement and has been in security and law enforcement for over 20 years. He is a certified General Instructor through the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services and actively teaches at the National Liquor Law Enforcement Academy and various Law Enforcement Academies throughout the state and nationally. Over the years he has taught classes such as Alcohol Source Investigations, Convenience Store Criminal Enterprises, Identifying Gangs and the Culture, Drug Investigations and Identifying False Documents. Special Agent Charge Cannon is a member of a number of social and professional organizations such as National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives- (NOBLE), National Liquor Law Enforcement Association – (NLLEA), Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc and York Rite Lodge # 154, FAAYM.
